Join Baby Milk Action at the
Trade Justice Parade!

Saturday November 3rd 2001

Come and join Baby Milk Action for the Trade Justice Parade in central London on November 3rd.

Baby Milk Action will be joining with other organisations such as Oxfam, World Development Movement and Christian Aid to raise awareness of the negative impact of unfair and unjust trade rules on the world's poorest people, and we will be highlighting how trade rules impact on the baby milk issue.

What is happening?

Processing from Lambeth around the streets of London to Trafalgar Square, the Trade Justice Parade promises to be a lively and fun day for all the family. With colourful and musical floats from many different organisations the parade will culminate in Trafalgar Square with influential speakers such as Naomi Klein (author of No Logo). In response to the current international situation a minutes silence will also be observed for the victims of injustice everywhere.

What are we doing?

As babies and fat-cat businessmen giving out baby bottle shaped flyers, our procession will focus around a rickshaw as we move along with the parade. Dress in either babies costumes or as fat-cat businessmen/women, (but remember it is November, and wrap up warm!!). We'll bring the flyers, Nestlé boycott placards and banners, but feel free to bring any props/ banners or musical instruments that you think will add to the fun.

Where are we meeting?

We will be meeting at 12.30pm at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park,
nr. Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road
(nearest tube station Lambeth North, Bakerloo Line).
